Managing Stress

Stress can be caused by two things - the organization we work in and ourselves. Any discussion about stress therefore needs to be put in a context. Too many stress management processes look only at the individual, which ignores the context.

OKness in Context

The concept of 'OKness' is probably familiar even to people who have not read much transactional analysis (TA). This concept is the core of transactional analysis, both in terms of its philosophy, and of its contribution to the understanding of people and their interactions: the analysis of transactions. These improvements include the recognition of women and the skills and benefits women bring to the work place.

Organizational TA in the Workplace

Most organizations have difficulties at some time or other with communication within, and between, different departments and teams. Often consultants are called in to enable the organization to establish clear communication, sometimes being asked to set up a process or system to enable effective communication. However, in my own experience I have found that communication is usually only effective when people feel comfortable, safe and relaxed with their colleagues.
